Google is set to open its second new headquarters in the Houston area.
The Google Houston office will be a “super-focused” Google-owned office and be open by 2020, according to Google.
Google announced the move to Houston in January.
Its other Houston-area offices include its Austin office, San Francisco offices, Boston offices, Seattle offices and Los Angeles offices.
The new Google Houston site is being constructed at the former Harris County Fairgrounds site, a former cotton mill site near the Houston Ship Channel.
The Fairgrounds project is now being used for commercial development.
Construction on the new Google headquarters will begin in 2020, with a completion date in 2021.
Google will hire more than 4,500 people in the new space.
Google said the new location will offer a “global workplace and a collaborative environment.”
The company’s other Houston headquarters is the one located at the University of Texas at Austin, according the Austin American-Statesman.
