Tech-savvy coders can apply to get a certification from the US Government and the U.S. Army’s Web Developer Institute.
But to get one, you’ll need to pay $1,000 and meet the requirements for both the USG and Army.
Both are available for $1.50 each, and the USGA requires you to be a current member of the National Guard.

The USG Web Developer Web Certification program is one of the oldest in the country.
Its origins date back to 2006, when the USGS created a certification program to help ensure the continued security of the US homeland.
That certification is called Web Developer.
But while the US GIS Web Developer certifications are still offered, they’re not the same.
The most recent version of the certification, the Advanced Web Developer Certificate (AWE), was created in 2008, and was replaced by the current USG certification in 2018.
The AWE is now only offered to current active-duty military members who meet certain requirements.
The current AWE requirements are: Be a member of an organization or military branch with a recognized mission of public safety, national security, or public health, and have at least six years of experience in web development.
