The latest news on Serie A, including the signings of Milan’s Leonardo Bonucci and Bologna’s Matteo Montolivo, has seen the Serie B teams join the English Premier League and, in turn, the Europa League and Champions League.
According to Football Italian, the two groups are not expected to officially be signed until the end of March.
The deal will also see the new teams’ stadiums in Rome and Brescia opened, with the first group of matches taking place on March 11.
The second, with both clubs expected to open in mid-March, will take place on May 12.
The Premier League is the first division in Europe’s top four leagues to be run by a private consortium, while the Europa and Champions Leagues are owned by the clubs.
